Aggregated Data

We may also use your personal information and information about our Users’ site’s activity to generate Aggregated Data for internal use and for sharing with others. “Aggregated Data” means records which have been stripped of information potentially identifying users of Sites, and which have been manipulated or combined to provide generalized, anonymous information. Cookies and Other Information-Gathering Technologies

We use cookies to track User activity. Cookies are small amounts of data that are transferred to your web browser by a web server and are stored on your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies to track which page variant a visitor has seen, to track if a visitor has clicked on a page variant, to monitor traffic patterns and to gauge popularity of service options. We will use this information to deliver relevant content and services to our Users. This also allows us to make sure that visitors see the landing page they expect to see if they return to the same web URL, and it allows us to tell you how many people click on our Users’ landing pages.

Most browsers will allow you to decline the use of and to delete cookies already stored on your computer. Please refer to the “help” portion of the toolbar on your browser if you wish to disable or delete cookies. Please note, however, that if you choose to set your browser to decline, delete or disable cookies, you may not be able to access certain areas or features of our Sites.

In addition to cookies, we or our service providers may use web beacons, pixels and similar technologies on our Sites and in email messages or newsletters. These tiny electronic images can be used to assist us in determining how many users have visited certain pages or opened messages or newsletters.

Your Postings

We may provide areas on our sites where you can post information about yourself, communicate with others, post reviews or upload content. Whenever you disclose personal information publicly (such as on publicly viewable web pages), that information becomes public and can be collected and used by others, including for the sending of unsolicited messages. We can’t control who reads your posting or what others may do with information you voluntarily post, so we encourage you to use your discretion with respect to posting personal information.

Your Rights

If you are a resident of a state governed by Applicable Data Privacy Laws you have the right to access, correct or delete personal information collected on you. You also have the right to opt out of having your personal information shared or sold and to limit the use and disclosure of any sensitive personal information.

You may exercise your rights by contacting us at cole@aansenliteracy.com.

You may also use the email above to request information about whether your personal information has been shared or sold to any third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. If such a request is made, we will provide a list of all third parties to whom personal information was disclosed in the preceding calendar year, as well as a list of the categories of personal information that was disclosed. Please note that, for technical reasons, there may be a delay in processing this request and that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year, and we are not required to respond to requests made by means other than through the provided email address. Please note that not all information is covered by the Applicable Data Privacy Law requirements and only covered information will be included in our response.

You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. Aansen Literacy will not discriminate against you should you choose to exercise any of your rights as described above.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Aansen Literacy website. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin.
